What is the PCGA?
The PCGA is a uniformed Non-Government Organization established by the Philippine Coast Guard by virtue of Republic Act. 5173. Its mandate is to Augment and support the PCG in the performance of its duties and responsibilities, thereby acting as multipliers. It continues to exist and has been a substantial contributor to the accomplishments of the PCG in its mandate of promoting maritime safety, search and rescue, marine environment protection and preservation, youth development, and humanitarian services.

The 611th Squadron in Kalibo, Aklan is currently composed of several benevolent men and women from various sectors as well as from several rescue groups such as the SEALS Rescue and the PQRG. The squadron is currently headed by Capt. Winston H. Carillo, PCGA with the squadron's nest currently located in ABL Sports Complex Osmena Ave., Kalibo, Aklan.
